I am Wai, a creative hailing from New Zealand. KOWAI is a street label I created to showcase my identity, being different, unique, strange & unusual.
A lot of my designs revolve around media, which I’m passionate about. So you’ll see K-pop, M-pop and J-rock. Video games, usually horror. Movies, television & literature (big fan of science fiction and vampires). As well as a bunch of stuff to do with my culture, upbringing, memes or being neurodivergent.
I did my graduate thesis on Otome Games/Dating Sims so you might see designs related to this sprinkled amongst the weird too.
